Oh lord he is just divine inside and out The softest most gentle boy you could ever wish to meet. He even lets the cats share his bed. Pine is super like to walk. He will follow you anywhere. He adores our younger volunteers so ideal for a family to adopt. He loves cuddles and melts into your arms for some love. He thrives on affection we can only guess he never had any but now he wants as much as he can get. He loves all dogs no issue with cats.

He is just a pure goof ball puppy who does not realise his size when he tries to sit on your lap he’s such a cuddle monster.
Everyone here adores this beautiful puppy.
He loves all dogs. Large and small. Not bothered by cats and only interested if they want to play.
No interest in livestock.
He loves toys and will play all day. You wont meet a happier pup to be around.
He will need a large garden and he would love another playful companion his own size.
Children over 12 yrs if present. He is a big pup and will get bigger. But he does love the energy the young volunteers here bring him.

He adores our younger volunteers. So teenage age would just be great and he would only love to have some to play with and the more toys the better.
Cookie thrives on your attention. If you offer him a hug he melts into your arms and he would do anything for a belly rub. He has love to give you by the truck load.
We have tried a lot of harness/leads to walk him and what he is picture perfect with is a Canny Collar thanks to Debbie we found the solution.
Anyone can walk him now.
He has excellent re call once he has a gallop out so a large garden would suit him perfect. Then hes happy to lay at your feet while you have your morning coffee.
I love this dog so much and hes one Id adopt myself in a heart beat.

We tested him with cats and his tail never stopped wagging as he tried to lick their faces much to their disgust so he can live with cats too who dont mind his loving on them.

Buddy is an ex Monaghan pound boy.
He is now 8 yrs old.
Housetrained and has lived inside in his previous home.
He has no issue with cats and not bothered by them. So he can live with them too.
He is fine with all dogs, large and small. Buddy greets them all with a smile and a waggy tail. He wants to be friends with everyone.
No interest in live stock and very confident around equines. He is a tree hugger. Soft and gentle with all animals.
He was strong on the lead but now if you stop him and say wait. He stops. A good run around your garden before your walk makes a huge difference.
He also sits on command.
Buddy is a gentle man. No drama no barking just a soft gentle soul.

He is fine with all dogs. But a companion his own size would suit him better.
He is not bothered by cats.
Jester loves walking and going on adventures. He will jump into your car and be so excited knowing he is about to make more memories.
Hes confident around equines. Not bothered by livestock.
He can be strong on the lead but only if you dont let him have a run around first in your garden.
Jester wants to be loved so much. Loyal to his very bones. God love him, hes never had much love or respect in his life living chained up until we could get him out.

Luna is nearly 2 yrs old.
She comes housetrained and has lived inside. She loves to go on adventures and would love a garden to play in. Luna loves toys and will happily plays for hours.

Her personality is playful and super friendly. Soppy and wants cuddles. Just an adorable girl.
We have learned she gets reactive eyes if shes running around a field of tall grass only in Summer months. So a mowed lawn would suit her better.

Dawson is an absolute stunner. He is a Collie mix Springer. Now 9 mnts old.
He is housetrained and crate trained.
Dawson loves all dogs but can be protective over treats we were told. We have not seen it ourselves. We have seen him share food so maybe he has just matured.
He is not bothered by cats but dog savvy cats only as he wants to play.
His personality is playful and fun. He loves toys so he would love a companion to play with.
Dawson would like a large garden to play in and he loves adventures. Are you the outdoor type? Love adventures too?
Monty

Monty is another lost soul hoping someone may offer him a home and be adopted too

We really worry for poor Monty.
At 10 yrs old. A hound mix collie. Will anyone ever offer him a home?
Monty was kept in a pack for the last ten years until he came here thanks to Monaghan pound.
He has never been seen as a pet just a pack dog. God love him.
Since he has been here he is now lead trained and loves to go walking. He is really good on the lead and will follow you anywhere.
His confidence has grown so much in only a month we feel in a private home he will thrive even faster. He is medium in size so ideal for someone who wants a smaller size dog or for a smaller home.
He loves all dogs and shares a stable with three others. They share food and beds with no issues. He is super soft with all animals and people especially our younger volunteers.
Monty just wants a home to put his paws up and enjoy life for the first time.

He has the most beautiful face and Im a soft tough for sticky up ears and he also has a black birth mark on his tongue.
Yin loves all dogs. He would be happy to be an only dog or live with a companion.
He just wants a home like every other dog gets. Hes never had nothing.
We tested him with cats and he showed no interest even when three of them started purring at his paws.
Yin has no interest in livestock and at all costs he will avoid them.
He does not know how to play yet as he never had any toys until now. His brother tries to show him and Im sure he will learn in time but he does love a tasty chew treat.
Joey
Breed: Patterdale Terrier X

In his previous home he was housetrained.
He is a mature laid back sensible boy.
No barking, no jumping up just a pure gentleman.
Joey is super light to walk on the lead. He sits, stays and gives the paw. Off lead he wont leave your side. We actually have never seen him run he is more content to potter beside you. He says he is just not into all this fitness lark a couch and a good tv show is more up his street.
He loves all dogs and shares with a female his own size. They share food and treats.
He is gentle and respectful around all animals.
We are looking for a mature home.
He would also be ideal for your older parent to adopt or a retired couple who want a non problematic dog

Age: 2 Years

Paws Animal Rescue Ireland saved her. Not only paid all her normal vet bills but also paid for her to have two knee surgeries done by our own vet.
It was a huge success and has changed her life.
When rescues work together, dogs get to know its magic
Gucci is loved by the team here. She makes us laugh out loud with the fun she brings. When she wants to go for a walk, she picks up her bowl and knocks at her kennel door. She is obsessed by toys and once you have a toy in your hand she is under your spell.
Gucci has brains to burn. She would have made a super agility dog. Amazing re call. Loves all dogs. No interest in cats.
She looks like she has a neck warmer on which adds to her personality.

Nala

Nala is hoping she may be offered and a home too and to be adopted
Nala is roughly 3 yrs old. She is just beautiful.
She was living with a family of very young children and they said they had full trust in her. She is housetrained and lived inside.
She is super light to walk on the lead. Little Aine just had her out and she was fab.
She loves all dogs. Really gentle.
No cats. She wont harm but wants to follow them everywhere.
Her ex family said her personality is very playful in the home but she is also sensible and very intelligent.
Of course going from a home to a busy rescue has changed her life so with us she is quiet and we have not seen her playful side yet but we fully understand. We feel her confidence will come back in a private home where she knows she will be safe again.
Nala is also ready for a UK home offer too.

He is just perfect for a family with teenagers to adopt. He adores children and the fun they bring. He loves toys and playing ball. Chase a teddy is his thing he even sleeps with one.
Jones loves all dogs. Large and small. He shares with three other dogs.
Dog savvy cats only as he wants to play with them too.
His personality is playful and fun.
You can trust him with your life. He is just a super soft loving boy who thrives on your affection and he just wants to please you.

He was living with a family before coming here. So we know he is housetrained.
He is stunning. You can clearly see that.
But..... he needs a home where they can work on socialising him with other animals. He never has been. So his first reaction is to play too rough. We have been working on it and will continue to do so until he finds a home.
He would fit an only dog family straight away or someone with breed experience to continue to work on his socialising.
He is very affectionate and loves a fuss. We know he will turn full circle in the right home.

Luna

She is an ex Monaghan pound girl.
When we first met Luna she had no social skills. Not an ounce of sense. Never played with toys or other dogs as she never was offered that chance, so we started to work with her from scratch.
So lets start again.
Luna is an absolute dote. A lab terrier mix.
She now knows how to play with other dogs and loves it. Just an hour ago she was having a ball galloping around our play area with three other dogs and it just shows that all any dog needs is time and every dog just wants to be loved. With that comes confidence.
Luna loves our younger volunteers as they are fun so she would love a family to play with. She is bubbly and fun to be around.
She is very confident and afraid of nothing. So you can walk her in a busy town.

Pepper
Breed: Terrier
Age: 1 Year

He is such a cuddle monster. Belly rubs and loads of affection is what he loves.
He is happy to live with dogs and has no issues with cats, he just avoids them.
His personality is fun and playful but also he can be calm and sensible when he wants to be. Normally after he has had a gallop in the field or a walk.
He loves treats and will beg for one. Someone please put your hand up for Pepper, I promise you wont regret it
Heidi

She is the sweetest soul. She loves all dogs. No issue with cats or livestock.
She is housetrained and lived inside.
Heidi is fantastic with our younger volunteers so would suit a family.
She is confident and no drama. Genuine and so easy going. Laid back and mature.

Harry is roughly 13 mnts old. He is doing well on the lead but needs a lot more confidence building. Every day Aine takes him walking we can see a difference. He just needs time. Harry was only ever in kennels since a puppy and is only now seeing what the outside world looks like. So we are looking for a calm, mature home with the company of an existing confident dog or more already in the home. This would be a huge help to him.
A mature family but he would be fine with sensible teenagers as he loves Aine.
Harry loves all dogs. No issue with cats or livestock.
Can we try really hard to find him the home, the life and the future that he needs? He really is owed this
Chippie

Super soft and very gentle natured. His personality is laid back and easy going.
He loves all dogs. No issue with cats or livestock.
He came with two cuts on his head our vet shaved to disinfect and it’s just two dabs of wound cream you see in the photo.
He is great with our younger volunteers and Aine takes him out walking.
If you sit with him and cuddle you can slowly feel him melt into your arms. All these dogs need is more life lessons and confidence building after being left in kennels since puppies. The one thing we have found with all these dogs are the fact they are all so genuine.
We cant wait for them all to be safe in the arms of one of you and your family
Polly
Breed: Pointer X
Age: 1 Year

Polly reminds me of a shrunk in the wash pointer. She is only Springer size.
At 12 mnts old she is ready for her next journey.
She loves all dogs. No issue with cats or livestock.
She is doing well on the lead but needs more life lessons like all the others saved with her as she also never left her kennel since a puppy.
She is very sweet natured and kind. In a good home her confidence will thrive.

She too never saw anything other than her kennel since a pup but has been rocking her new life with us. She now walks on the lead. Her confidence is so much better.

He is also part of the large group of dogs we recently saved.
He is just a lovely, gentle soul. He loves all dogs. No issue with cats or livestock.

We were told she was fine with other dogs but we feel the opposite. We can walk her with other dogs in front or behind her but not beside her. I feel with the right person who would foster with the view to adopt in time could do a lot of work with her. Until we find that person, we will keep working with her. Of course she could be adopted straight away as an only dog.
No cats either.
Zoe is super on the lead. Shes great with our younger volunteers and loves everyone she meets at our centre.
Zoe loves cuddles and a fuss too. She loves being brushed and belly rubs.

Richard is very playful and so friendly. He adores your attention and wants to sit in your ear he loves toys and will play for hours even on his own in his kennel.

Athena is back to look for a home again due to no fault of her own.
She went home to a lovely family but due to life changes the best decision was made to let her come back to find a new start. The good news is, we know a lot more about her now.

She loves children and will play for fun.
Her family said she needs a large garden to play in, she would love it.

At the moment he is doing so well with his life lessons. He is rocking his lead training and now loves his new adventures. The excitement when he sees you coming with the lead now. He sits, stays and gives the paw for a treat.

Age: 1 1/2 Years

Baxter is roughly 18 mnts old.
In his past he was not used to living with other animals so we have been working on that since the day he arrived.
Now he loves to play with dogs his own size for some reason he is afraid of small yappy dogs. So he would love a home with a female or male his own size or he would be happy to be an only dog too.
No cats. He wont harm but just annoys them. Just because he has never been around them before.
Poor Baxter clearly led a life before here with no life lessons. I can only guess locked in a kennel with no access to the outside world.
On a positive note he is extremely clever and learns so fast. He has come so far during his time with us.
Now he loves to go walking. Even our teenagers take him out. A mature home would really suit him. If children present teenage would be perfect.
Baxter has only recently started to play and has discovered toys are so much fun.
Imagine he never even had a toy before? Now to find him that special home.
He is such a pretty boy we are hoping that may help too.

Bella came from Dublin pound. She had such sore eyes that we booked her straight into surgery with our vet. It was such a success. She now has no more pain.
At 6 yrs old she is very sensible and so laid back. We can only guess she was used as a puppy machine in her past.
Bella is super soft and just loves cuddles. A pure baby that thrives on affection.
She is fine with all dogs.

We cant express how gentle and genuine this adorable boy is. Soft as butter and thrives on your affection. He loves cuddles and belly rubs.

Zeus is a big boy but just a cuddly bear.
He would do anything for cuddles and a fuss. He is this goofball who wants to sit on your lap but has no idea of his own size as we all laugh at him. Just 4 yrs old
He is very genuine and just an honest soul.
Zeus shares his kennel with Sheba and we have a female she may be his Mom as they came from the same owner to the pound. So either someone adopt both or he would love to share his home with a female companion or he would be happy to be an only dog too. He walk safe in a large pack of dogs with no reaction.
No cats.
Zeus is also fine with all the livestock he met and had a look and a sniff and walked on.
He would be fine in a family situation as he loves our younger volunteers but sensible as if present.
He is brave and fearless. Would walk in a busy city with ease.

The home we are looking for is adult only.
No children.
When we first met Max he used to hide in the corner and shake with one paw up ready to run. We have no idea what trauma he experienced in his past.
Its taken a long time to work with him and we soon discovered how to win his heart over. He loves toys.
Now we walk into his kennel and throw a ball around and he is so happy and brings it back to you with such excitement.
What he does not like is a stranger walking up to him he clearly has never met. Then he hides in the corner again but if that same stranger walks in, kneels down and throws his ball then pretty fast he is back to having fun. He just needs time, reassurance, trust building and commitment to him.
He is super to talk walking.
He shares his stable with three more dogs. Shares his food, beds, treats and toys.
In blunt we need a calm home who are willing to give him time for his confidence to grow and we all know it will.
To all of us that know him, take him walking and spend time with him we know he is a cracking boy.
